What Is the Universal Mini Pod?
The Universal Mini Pod is a toolless, instant-latching motor pod that wraps around your V2 Motor and mast to form a smaller, lower-drag profile than a traditional universal pod. It slides on in seconds, locks in place with a snap latch, and comes off just as fast — no tools, no screws, no fuss.
It's the middle ground riders have been asking for: integrated mast performance, universal flexibility.
How It Works
By forming a tighter, more streamlined profile around the motor and mast, the Mini Pod reduces wetted surface area and drag. The result is smoother riding, improved handling, cleaner surface motoring, and performance that feels noticeably closer to an integrated mast — at a fraction of the price.
The design is a three-part system:
- Inner Pod — bolts directly to your V2 Motor (one-time setup, four bolts)
- Outer Pod — slides over the Inner Pod and deforms slightly to match your mast profile
- Rubber Strap — locks everything in place instantly with a snap-on latch, no tools required
Three strap sizes are included (Small 95–110mm, Medium 112–128mm, Large 130–145mm) to suit almost every mast on the market. A 7-position ladder adjustment on the Inner Pod handles the rest. Most riders will use the Medium strap.

You want better performance but need to stay flexible

Why Did It Take So Long?
Foil Drive didn't rush this one. From the day the first Integrated Mast launched, they were already working on a removable version — but they needed it to be right. No compromise on quality or performance. Fully toolless. Reliable against sun and salt. Months of testing different rubber compounds, refining injection moulding, and real-world riding went into landing on this design.
The result is a pod built from injection moulded ABS with EPDM rubber straps reinforced with Aramid fibre — materials chosen specifically to hold up to repeated saltwater exposure and UV degradation over time.
Worth the wait.
